Pet holidays

Article Abstract:

Pet owners who are planning to go away on holiday may check out the services offered by operators of vacation homes for pets. These homes accept the responsibility for caring for pets in exchange for a fee. The rates charged are fairly standard, around 20-25 Swiss francs for dogs, about 11 Swiss francs for cats and 6-8 Swiss francs for rabbits, gerbils, guinea pigs and birds. Reservations at these vacation homes are usually made one or two weeks in advance. Alternatives to these homes include neighborhood pet shops for small pets and breeders for dogs and cats.
