Yale, Pentagon vie for Cambodia documents

Article Abstract:

The Dept. of Defense' Prisoner of War/Missing in Action Office and the Yale University Cambodian research project are seeking additional information concerning US MIAs from the Vietnam war. The Yale effort, which has exhausted its $500,000 grant from the State Dept., is headed by academic Ben Kiernan who refused to share his files with the Pentagon. Pentagon officials believe that the files contain relevant information on Cambodians who may know something about the 76 MIAs.
