The reasons for increase in the price of marine lubricants and oils are discussed. The rise in crude oil prices, transportation, energy, base oils and additives contributed to the recent spurt in the prices of marine lubricants.

How Dutch flatfish auctions keep up prices

The electronic auction system used at Urk, Netherlands is linked to nine auction centers in three countries. The efficacy of the system in auctioning fish and obtaining best prices for the fish is discussed.
