from service to experience: understanding and defining the hospitality business

Article Abstract:

The confusion of in the definition of the hospiltality industry and the fragmentation of hospitality academia potentially limits the industry's growth and development. Hospitality is suggested to be redefined as a behavior and and experience, to bring out a new perspective that will result important implications for the managment of those in the hospitality industry. A framework to identify hospitality in the the commercial environment is recommended.
