New Center City skyscraper 'will rise up in a quiet way'

Malvern, Penn.-based Liberty Property Trust, which is a real estate investment trust company, will build a 50-story office building in Center City. The new skyscraper, which was designed by Robert A. M. Stern, will have a 1.1 million square-foot office space capacity.

Cigna again talking with N.J. about a move there

Cigna Corporation is talking once again to New Jersey officials about moving to Camden and it invited architectural and interior-design firms to submit proposals for how they would design a new-headquarters for the health insurer. The new proposals revealed that Cigna wants to plan a 400,000-square-foot new headquarters.

A tall order: The Comcast Center ultimately will benefit the city, experts say

Article Abstract:

Real estate executives believe that the new Comcast Corp. skyscraper, is likely to increase office vacancy rates and lower building values. The 57-story skyscraper, at 975 feet, is expected to be good for the region and would be Philadelphia's tallest and the first new Center City office tower since Two Commerce Square, at 2001 Market Street, opened in 1992.
