FastShip signs deal for 1st four speedy vessels

Article Abstract:

FastShip Inc. of Philadelphia has signed a preliminary agreement with National Steel and Shipbuilding of San Diego. The deal is for a nine-ship transatlantic fleet, the first two of which are to be ready by 2003. They will carry cargo between Philadelphia and Europe at twice the speed of conventional ships.

Capital expenditures, Deep Sea Foreign Transport, Pennsylvania, Marine transportation, National Steel and Shipbuilding Co.
