Article Abstract:

Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan testified before the House Budget Committee that in 2025, there will be one retiree for every two and a quarter working people in America, if those claiming Social Security benefits in 2008 will be eligible for Medicare three years later. He suggested that Congress should cut benefits for future Social Security recipients as a way to deal with the rising budget deficit.
