Mayo Clinic wins patent for crazy idea

A doctor at the Mayo Clinic has successfully won a patent on an idea to use an anti-fungus spray to treat chronic sinusitis, a condition that affects millions of Americans throughout the year. Some people thought that the doctor was crazy at first, but his invention might just help Americans combat an inflammation that causes stuffy noses, pain and huge amount of discomfort.

Effort to cap malpractice awards appears dead
