West Coast answer is seen as model malpractice system

Article Abstract:

The California's Medical Injury Compensation Reform Act (MICRA) has benefited the US medical community after California amended its malpractice laws that allow specialist doctors to pay lower premiums. However some experts believe that the limitations of the MICRA would affect the most vulnerable elements of the society, as it would make it difficult for nonworking mothers and elderly patients to find a lawyer.
