A one-man vehicle

Article Abstract:

Formula One is studying a stock market listing. The company is very profitable and most of its income comes from the sale of TV rights. There could be a major source of income from digital TV but the potential amount has yet to be assessed. The owner of the company, Bernie Ecclestone, is seen as a key figure and there are concerns over succession. A flotation could value the company at 2.5 billion pounds sterling but there is concern about Formula One's structure.

Scottish Media is involved in newspaper publishing as well as owning Grampian and Scottish TV, and may expand into England.
