Article Abstract:

Pizza is competing with hamburger as America's favorite food. Commercial operations have been tapping the popularity of pizza, which emerged as one of the biggest sales boosters of all time. A lot of pizza innovations have been introduced in the market to improve the product. Examples are flavored crust, double crusts, and crusts served with dipping sauces. The hottest product to emerge are stuffed-crust and multi-layered pizzas.

In the US, per capita consumption of bottled water totals 11 gallons per year. The value of the US bottled water industry is estimated at $3.5 billion, according to Michael Neuwirth of Danone International Brands, with a total of 500-600 different brands available. Packaging plays an important part in the marketing of bottled water, with new light-weight bottles aimed at athletic consumers.

Juices, waters make a splash: refreshing sales

Article Abstract:

Flavored, fruity beverages and bottled water have been strong sellers. Food service operators have discovered that nonalcoholic drinks can be good profit generators. The trend towards healthful eating has made the consumers increase their preference for beverages. 'New-age' drinks offer exotic and sophisticated taste while bottled water has been used as an option to colas and tap water.
