Aegis would ease China-Taiwan picture, Lockheed Martin says

Article Abstract:

The representative from Lockheed Martin Corp. says that the introduction of Aegis Weapon System in Taiwan's military forces would ease the tension between China and Taiwan. Aegis is a completely defensive system, which is a radar and missile system seamlessly integrated with its own command and control system, capable of simultaneous operation defending against advanced air, surface and subsurface threats, and thus its deployment by Taiwan will not be alarming the Chinese forces.
