House panel curbs foreign ship leases, aids Boeing tanker lease

Article Abstract:

The House Armed Services Committee (HASC) has approved amendments to limit navy leases of ships made overseas, and to advance the stalled leasing of aerial tanker planes from the Boeing Co. in a move called the fresh start. A funding authorization for long lead materials and a revamped procurement process would bolster the Boeing tanker lease program.
