Article Abstract:

GTE Government Systems Corp., Mountain View, Calif., is being awarded a $115,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity-contract to provide for development and deployment of the Information Operations Planning System (IOPS). This system will consist of an integrated suite of software tools that will provide access to a range of information sources, visualization applications, decision support aids, and analytical processing applications. These tools will be used to develop new campaign and mission oriented information operations planning and command and control system segments for integration into the Theater Battle Management Core Systems and the Global Command and Control System. Expected contract completion date is August 30, 2003. Solicitation issue date was April 29, 1998. Negotiation completion date was August 10, 1998.
