Article Abstract:

Sanders, a Lockheed Martin Co., Nashua, N.H., is being awarded a $175,000 increment as part of a $7,815,107 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for a research proposal entitled "The Common Optical Module: Terabit Millimeter to Meter Interconnects for Ring Architecture, Multi-Processor to Memory Systems" submitted in response to a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency announcement. Work will be performed in Nashua, N.H., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 4, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was a broad agency announcement on Aug. 22, 1997, and 50 bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Research Laboratory Command, Adelphi, Md. (DAAL01-98-C-0074).

Article Abstract:

Raytheon Co., Raytheon Electronic Systems, Marlborough, Mass., is being awarded a $33,145,569 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract to exercise the option to include 89 Secure, Mobile, Anti-Jam, Reliable, Tactical Terminals (SMART-T's) for fielding to the U.S. Army, Air Force and Marines. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va., and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on Aug. 31, 1995, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-96-C-A757).
