Becoming a player in global growth

Article Abstract:

Payment arrangements between foreign domestic dealers and wholesalers present various problems, thus leading to the development of an innovative risk management and wholesale financing plan that is supported by export credit insurance. The program consists of two important elements, credit insurance and the factory-direct financing component. Chrysler Corp, a vehicle manufacturer and wholesaler, benefitted from the program because of reduced risk and improved liquidity while working capital of distributors is freed up and, as a result, credit terms are used as competitive sales tools in the marketplace.
