Better than the rest

Article Abstract:

Formal micro-consulting service standards need to be created to define the services accounting companies offer that the chartered accountant profession may become pre-eminent in the field. The creation of 'Generally Accepted Consulting Standards' will define not only the services offered but also the range and quality of those services compared to other micro consultants. The implementation of professional micro-consulting standards would ensure the quality of services provided and assure clients of the concern of the effects of micro-consulting on their business.

When a company can dominate the market, it makes it difficult to switch to other software products. Of all the other accounting software, other than Microsoft's, none can yet offer Windows, which has become the industry standard. It is felt that to ensure the demand for its products, Microsoft will not ignore the requests of the market.
