Big Four defend non-audit earnings

Article Abstract:

The various reasons behind the fall of the non-audit fees from FTSE audit clients from 636million pounds in the year 2001 to 348 pounds in the year 2002 are discussed. The Big Four firms are however adamant that investor concerns over their non-audit earnings from FTSE 100 audit clients are unwarranted.

Gold rush: Accountants are suddenly in demand but in short supply

Article Abstract:

The sudden demand of accountants and the shortfall of supply are mentioned, which has resulted in proper timing for job-hunting. The hiring of temporary staff is a short-term solution because there are not many suitable recruits but the hiring would continue till the mid 2005.
