Cashing in on the media: PR for 'secretive' hedge funds

Article Abstract:

It is identified that hedge fund managers shun the media mainly for two reasons - fear of legal complications and fear of focusing light on their investment strategies. However, hedge fund managers should understand that keeping their mouth shut for genuine reasons is advisable, but not at the cost of opportunities that help in marketing themselves to a large audience.

Public concern about environmental issues is rising and at the same time to obtain public permission for industrial and economic expansions is becoming difficult. The different ways in which a foundation for gaining and maintaining public consent can be build are explained.
