DRS Tech wins Javelin Systems Pact

Article Abstract:

Raytheon Missile Systems Company, located in Tucson, Arizona awarded a $24 million production contract on the Javelin Anti-Tank Weapon System program to DRS Technologies Inc. The award which is the fifth order under a multi-year contract, entrusts DRS Infrared Technologies Unit in Dallas, Texas to produce second generation forward looking infrared integrated Dewar cooler assemblies for the Javelin's command launch unit.

Raytheon sees another U.K. Javelin buy impending

Article Abstract:

Raytheon Co. and Lockheed Martin Corp. are virtually assured of reaping further orders of the Javeline anti-tank missile system, as it did not include one of the most crucial components of the system, for which the British government must negotiate separately under the U.S. rules. The $180 million sale comes in addition to the $459 million worth of Javeline systems purchased by the British government in 2003.

DRS wins pact for Apache targeting systems

A US $30 million worth of orders has been received by DRS Technologies for the production of infrared targeting receiver assemblies for the Apache Arrowhead Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) System for the US Army AH-64 attack helicopters and the British Army's AH MK I helicopters. The Apache Arrowhead embodies advanced target acquisition, designation, and night vision capabilities for Army aviation.
