Data preservation: get the most out of what you have

Article Abstract:

Some respondents do not answer all of the questions in a survey, this is also known as the problem of missing data. Listwise deletion, pairwise deletion, mean subsitution and using complex models are some of the methods that may be used to handle missing information. Applying Internet techniques, linking various data sources and looking into data fusion are a means of making the most out of data at hand to be able to make business decisions.

The problems in research methodologies that disrupt the evaluation of marketing strategies are analyzed. It was observed that research methods must adjust to the evolving marketing environment to have reliable and useful results. The changes in marketing environment, which include the growing power of consumers, the significance of Internet in marketig, are discussed.
