Dawson International

Article Abstract:

Dawson International's profit for the six months to Sep 30 1996 was affected by a drop in deamnd from the US for thermal clothes, but UK losses have dropped. Fibers and yarns reported a drop in profit to 4 million pounds from 7 million pounds in the above period. The group is investing in a cashmere processing plant in Inner Mongolia to provide high-quality fiber. The acquisition of Forte Cashmere should help the group penetrate the US market.
