Dewhirst is a UK company specialising in apparelwhich is a long-term supplier of Marks and Spencer. Marks and Spencer accounts for some 85%of Dewhirst's sales, but tends to treat its key suppliers well. The company is increasing capitalspending in 1995 from 7 million pounds sterling invested in 1994 and 1993. Dewhirst is alsodiversifying into perfumes and toiletries, accounting for 10% of sales. Dewhirst shares arerecommended for investors in May 1995.
