Do cloned mammals skip a reprogramming step?

Article Abstract:

The lesser life span of cloned animals compared to the conventionally bred animals and the abnormalities of the gene expression in their tissues is presented. The skip of essential independent step involved in the reprogramming of cell nuclei during the process of nuclear transfer used to create cloned animals is the reason for these problems.

Genetic rescue of an endangered mammal by cross-species nuclear transfer using post-mortem somatic cells

Article Abstract:

Scientists clone a mouflon by combining cells from a deceased member of the species with enucleated sheep oocytes and implanting them into a sheep foster mother. Researchers believe this is a valid method for increasing the numbers of endangered species.

Allergenicity assessment of genetically modified crops-what makes sense?

Article Abstract:

A detailed analysis of allergenic risks related to genetically modified (GM) crops is required for the safety of allergic consumers. Many tests that are applied to assess allergenicity do not have a profound scientific basis.
