Factor structure and internal psychometric properties of a Polish version ofthe Attitude Towards Shiftwork Scale (ATSS)

Article Abstract:

The factor structure and internal psychometric properties of the Polish language version of the Attitude Towards Shiftwork Scale (ATSS) are evaluated. To sum up the evaluation, the scale possess a one-factor structure, and it is composed of a homogeneous set of items. Therefore, the scale allows all items to be combined in a total scale score, and the Polish version of the ATSS has adequate measurement properties.

Nutrition and shiftwork: the use of meal classification as a new tool for qualitative/quantitative evaluation of dietary intake in shiftworkers

Article Abstract:

The pattern of nutrient intake and meal consumption among shiftworkers is investigated, and establishednutritional science methods and a new qualitative meal-classification concept are used. Although only a small sample is used, it is safe to conclude that theshifts of a rotating three-shift pattern do not significantly affect the numberof meals and snacks, nor their nutritional content.

Shiftwork experience and the value of time

Article Abstract:

A study is presented to determine whether differences in preferred paid work time existed between shift workers with different lengths of shift work experience and age-matched non-shiftworkers. The results show that initially people undertaking shift work is one with a less restrictive perception of time and its use, and this perception alters over time.
