The creators of highly artistic entertaining nightclubs and grand hotels, Ian Schrager and Philippe Starck, believe that production values differentiate various clubs and hotels. Schrager asserts that his creative works aim to suit the new generations that like innovation. Schrager aims to spread their business wings to other countries, despite Starck's wish to quit designing. Their collaborations in Miami and New York are discussed.

Acclaimed Cuban artist Jorge Pardo's wildly colorful, tropics-inspired mural for the new 550Q condominium development in West Palm Beach heralds a new cultural hot spot in South Florida. Pardo's work of public art, the largest in the area, is expected to be one way in which 550Q will contribute to a growing arts movement in a city overshadowed by Miami in the south and also revitalize West Palm Beach's warehouse district.

It's Lacroix darling

Christian Lacroix, the French interior designer presents a new collection comprising of 17 rooms and a few public spaces in the Hotel du Petit Moulin that opened in January 2005 on the northern edge of Paris's Marais district. The hotel's skewed corridors have green walls and polka-dot carpets, and also houses a breakfast room dating from 1615.
