Harvey: Army will directly compete tested FCS technologies

The Army plans to directly compete tested Future Combat Systems (FCS) technologies and in this regard has announced its $122-billion-plus FCS modernization from a nontraditional Other Transactions Authority (OTA) arrangement to a conventional federal acquisitions regulation (FAR)-based pact. Boeing Co. and Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) will be responsible for the project as lead systems integrator (LSI) and will oversee the FCS and its subcontractors.
