History and impact of the 1996 UN declaration on 'space benefits'

Article Abstract:

In 1996, the UN General Assembly accepted the resolution 51/122 which includes a deposition on international space cooperation. By giving a reliable explanation on the cooperation policy of Article I of Outer Space Treaty, this deposition signals the end of a north-south conflict, thus, preventing more disputes on the political level. It also secures the right to investigate and explore outer space and informing the authorities to do their responsibilities for the good of all countries.
