Holliday Chemical

Article Abstract:

Holliday Chemical is involved in a number of niche chemicals activities such as hair dyes, textiles dyes, inorganic chemicals and photographic chemicals. The company acquired Reckitt's Colours in 1994, and this company has contributed to Holliday's profits. Raw materials costs have risen and competition has meant that costs have been absorbed rather than passed on. A currency loss of 1.4 million pounds sterling also affected profit for 1st half 1995. The company's profit is forecast at 21.5 million pounds sterling for full-year 1995 by Smith New Court.
