Miller Industries Inc. - MLR

Article Abstract:

The slow industry sales report made by Miller Industries Inc. on Sep. 12, 1997 resulted in a drop in stock price from $15 to $10. However, insider trading activities have increased which is evident through the acquisition of 78,600 shares of stock by three company executives. Director A. Russel Chandler bought 4,000 shares for his children while he himself accumulated 50,000 shares. Director Stephen Furbacher purchased 12,600 shares while Director Richard Roberts bought 4,000 shares.

Chrysler Corp

Article Abstract:

Chrysler Corp insiders sold substantial shares prior to Pres Bill Clinton's tax hike proposal. Twelve of them cleared out 740,076 option-related shares from late Oct to early Nov 1992. The sales occurred even though higher yields would have been possible in 1993. The insider distribution also exceeded the company's historical annual average of 138.068 shares. Therefore, a guarded attitude is suggested.

Mascotech Inc

Article Abstract:

Masotech Chmn Richard A. Manoogian and five other insiders recently disposed of a combined total of 1,089,000 shares at prices ranging from $16.25 to $18.88. The fact that the share price of Masotech has been increasing coupled with the unusually large volume disposed of is a cause for concern. This kind of insider activity is a good indication that the price is reaching full valuation.
