Hot market good for job hunters

Article Abstract:

Competition to enlist the services of top-line business-to-business direct marketing executives is becoming heated as firms increasingly accept the importance of customer information and the database as well as the power of personalization in marketing initiatives. Employment in business-to-business direct marketing is expected to increase at a compound annual growth rate of 6.1% from 1997 through 2002 and roughly over 13 million people will be working in the business-to-business direct industry by 2002.

Mail a lot? USPS rules promote bar coding

Article Abstract:

The US Postal Service has mandated the use of bar codes to simplify the processing of various business mail. The postal regulation revisions have presented new problems to companies. Firms that have yet to add bar codes to their mail have two options. They can invest in hardware and software to generate such codes or they can outsource their mailing needs to companies that provide mail bar coding services.

Cadmus moves to redefine company

Article Abstract:

Cadmus Communications Corp has undergone three phases of restructuring after the acquisition of several firms to strengthen its presence in various markets. These restructuring efforts have centered mostly on management changes, addition and removal of units, and retrenchments. Cadmus also divided itself into Cadmus Journal Services and Cadmus Marketing Communications to better serve its client base.
