Improving supply chain performance by using order fulfillment metrics

Article Abstract:

A measurement scheme to evaluate performance objectives is necessary for supply chain management and improvement. The supply chain consists of production and manufacturing, distribution and retailing before being utilized by the end user, the customer. Regular monitoring of the processes as well as punctual and reliable delivery systems would ensure the overall good performance the supply chain. Improved performance of each process in the supply chain will lead to order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.

Opening space for productivity

Article Abstract:

Open Space Technology is an initiative founded in 1995 to aid small- and large scale membership organizations address a wide variety of management and production issues. Inspired by the concept of elegance and style of the Balamah village in West Africa, Open Space had its first rigorous application in DuPont, where the issue of handling a large-scale conference was tackled. Recently, a number of work groups are employing Open Space in an attempt to improve their production efficiency.
