Israel amended the Israeli Patents Law so that it was similar to the laws followed in the United States and the European countries, but it is difficult to observe whether Israel is successful in balancing the rights of the multinational drug companies and Israeli generic pharmaceutical industry. Israel, which does not have provisions ensuring data exclusivity, may have to change the law and introduce data exclusivity due to international pressure.
