Internet drives imaging innovation

Article Abstract:

Internet-based photofinishing services which have been in used for several months now have different feedbacks. One of the ways the service is being promoted is through an on-line photo album. But according to retailers who sell Internet photofinishing services, very few consumers want to pay a monthly charge to have their photos stored on-line. The Camera Shop Inc. of Philadelphia, PA, for example, offers customers who bring their films for processing to put their images online free for one month, after which they will be charge a small monthly fee. But according to the company, only 10% or so have opted to keep their images online.

Teams and your management game plan

Article Abstract:

Steve Troup, president of Buckeye Color Lab, says the team concept is used informally at his company. Troup adds that he does not have a penchant for getting formal, just setting goals and finding the people who would make them happen. These people include General Mgr Bob Hendrickson and 15 supervisors from two shifts. The production group reports directly to Hendrickson while the marketing and administrative staff report to Troup.
