"Seeing what develops"

Article Abstract:

Polaroid CEO Gary DiCamillo says his company can sustain its 20% sales increase and net earnings of 9 million for 4th qtr 1999. DiCamillo adds that its $51 million loss for the same quarter during 1998 resulted from Polaroid's foray into other areas, causing it to neglect the traditional photography services. He admits that the graphic arts and medical imaging businesses have diverted attention from its instant photography business. DiCamillo emphasized that revitalizing the instant photography business remains at the core of the company's strategy.
