Article Abstract:

The widely accepted notion that Canadian enterprises are one of the most innovative businesses in the world has been negated by the results of an informal survey conducted by the Industry Canada. It was revealed that Canada only ranks as the 16th best practitioner of management skills and attitudes around the world. The poll also proved that Canada's education system does not follow one of the best standards in the world but rates only as the 24th in a sample of 48 countries. However, the study affirmed the assumption that development in productivity does not lead to eliminate jobs in the countryl.

Old scam, new twist

Article Abstract:

CA's editor-in-chief is not spared of the many "quick fortune" scam proliferating in Canada. Once, from among the many letters in his desk, a refugee letter of sort caught his attention. In the letter is a fortune that is now in the possession of somebody in The Gambia, and he has been chosen because of his integrity. The fortune will be transferred to his account in exchange of a part of the fortune, with condition that he keeps the deal confidential. This type of scam is now the object of a manhunt by the Canadian Royal Police's commercial crime section.

The brain gain

Article Abstract:

Intellectual capital is hard to measure but accountants may find ways to gauge employee function to facilitate the measurement of intellect and its economic significance. Intellectual capital is becoming an important tool in maintaining competitiveness and companies need to find ways to measure it or risk losing revenue.
