Jobs for the job-finders

Article Abstract:

Recruitment consultancy can be a career option for chartered accountants (CA). While a CA qualification is not a requirement of the job, it can be very useful because it can help the consultant to gauge the knowledge of job candidates in financial matters and to assess whether they are exaggerating their qualifications. The people who are most likely to find success in the business are those who are outgoing, hard-working, ambitious, business-oriented and good judges of character. They must also be able to command the respect of their clients and the applicants. Accountants who make the switch to consultancy will find that this job offers attractive rewards. The basic salary is generally at par with the current market rate, but this can be increased by a bonus of between 20% and 400%-plus. Accountants-turned-consultants Bruce Page and Anne Wilkie are profiled.
