Meeting the treasury training needs of CIPFA members

Article Abstract:

Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) has decided to add two additional courses that will complement its Capital Finance Course. The treasury management training courses, which will be under the aegis of the Treasury Management Group, are designed to develop the accounting skills of chief financial officers, deputies, assistant directors and practitioners in local treasury management. The first course is scheduled in Leeds on May 18, 1982, in London on May 14, 1992 and in a still unspecified Scottish location.

Sharpening up the skills of the CIPFA managers

Article Abstract:

The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, in a joint effort with Henley-Management College is offering a distance-learning MBA program for busy accounting executives. The course offering is ranked seventh among the world's MBA courses. The curricula includes a Public Service MBA where public management training is given emphasis. The program is open to college graduates with professional qualifications. Tuition fees, inclusive of training materials are estimated to be 5,950 pound sterling.

Business plans define the means by which organizations or units aim to meet consumer demands and improve business.Creating a business plan involves formulating a brief statement of a unit's mission and vision, a strategic view of medium term goals and an annual business plan. In preparation for a plan's creation, organizations should devote adequate attention to relevant issues such as people, context, current position, action plan and style.
