Pest resistance for a new transgenic corn, Monsanto's YieldGard Rootworm, is a concern for the US Environmental Protection Agency. The planting of nontransgenic crops adjacent to the transgenic crops will have an effect on the length of pest resistance for the transgenic crops.

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) conclude that meat and milk from cloned animals are likely to be safe as those of conventional animals. The actions taken by FDA on cloned animals are stated.
