Article Abstract:
Northrop Grumman Corp., Field Support Services, Inc., Point Mugu, Calif., is being awarded a $5,961,960 firm-fixed-price contract for the installation of 27 embedded global positioning systems/inertial navigational systems, 50 fast tactical imaging systems, 47 digital flight control systems, 14 low altitude navigation targeting infrared for night systems, 17 miniature aircraft global positioning receiver systems, 11 wing leading edges and an MDL/5 wire modification onto various F-14 aircraft. Work will be performed in Point Mugu, Calif., and is expected to be completed by January 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-99-C-1333).

McDonnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $5,458,708 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-98-C-0083 to provide sustaining support services related to airframe engineering changes for the AV-8B Harrier II Plus program for the U.S. Marine Corps. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
