Computers can rapidly become obsolete as new software demands more space. Old computers may be scrapped but they can be used by the voluntary sector after they have been refurbished. Monitors and printers are more difficult to obtain than computers. Recycle-IT! is a UK organization involved in recycling which will collect computers. Inter-Action also carries out recycles and donors include financial institutions. Data should be removed when computers are donated.
