New trade launch is rock science

Article Abstract:

Intertec Publishing Corp. has launched its new Construction & Demolition Debris Recycling bimonthly trade magazine targeting readers from the debris recycling industry. Sales manager Bill Wendling says that one-time black and white ads will cost $3,000 per page while one-time four-colored ads will cost $3,500 per page. Editor Bill Turley also says that the magazine will be marketed through direct mail and trade association lists.

BIN figures show trade spending up 12.6%

The Business Information Network found trade magazine advertising reaching $8 billion in 1997. The network established standards to determine page definitions. Magazines must decide whether they will be defined as a consumer periodical or a business publication but cannot be counted in both segments. Advertising spending by category is available with further data segmentation planned for the future.

Taking the fear out of Web programming

Article Abstract:

HTML authoring tools can make World Wide Web site design simple for small businesses and advertising agencies. These programs can be installed for $20 to $300 on individual desktop computers or a company's network. These tools do not require more training than word processing software and can develop new information or change the old information already on the site.
