Schrager is unconventional in his approach to hotel management, prefering to charge higher rates and provide unusual features like plain carpets but to economise on the quality of the china. He employs mostly inexperienced but enthusiastic staff. Schrager's New York hotels are noted for their interior design which is used as a means of attracting fashionable clients.

What happens to frogs in winter?

Article Abstract:

Frogs have evolved two strategies to deal with the conditions of harsh winters. Leopard frogs, green frogs and bullfrogs remain emerged in water, at the bottom where the temperature never falls below freezing. The wood frogs, chorus frogs, spring peepers and gray treefrogs of the second group tolerate freezing, with up to 70% of their body becoming stiff.

New woe for Equitable?

UK insurer Equitable Life may face further problems in the form of compensation for mis-sold pension drawdown plans. Equitable could owe up to GBP200 mil if all the 18,000 policies it is reviewing lead to compensation.
