Recycling your unused or old processor

Article Abstract:

Photographic laboratories can still make use of their unused or under- utilized processing machines by converting them into useful equipment. Some suggested conversions are RA-4 to black-and-white paper processing, and E-6 to C-41 and black-and-white. Before starting conversion of their old machines, laboratories should first study whether the conversion costs can be justified. A list of the procedures in converting processing machines is provided.

Embrace change and enjoy the profits

Article Abstract:

Photo processors and retailers should welcome the changes that are being brought to the industry by the advent of digital imaging. Service providers who wish to survive in the future should not repeat the mistakes of their predecessors. As in the case of one-hour photo processing, a technology that was initially rejected by the industry's traditionalists, digital imaging is here to stay and those who will embrace it will profit from its potential.
