Northrop Grumman developing second Fire Scout version

Article Abstract:

A second version of the Fire Scout unmanned helicopter called RQ-8B being developed by Northrop Grumman Corporation will be used as a common airframe for the US Army's Future Combat System (FCS) program, and the US Navy's future Littoral Combat Ship (LCS). The Fire Scout is expected to support different mission payload options, including weapons systems such as the Hydra 70 rocket, Advanced Precision Kill weapons system, and air-to-air Stinger missiles.

Northrop gains $40 million targeting contract

Article Abstract:

Northrop Grumman Corp. has won a $40 million contract with the US Marine Corps. to begin outfitting F/A-18 Hornet aircraft with LITENING AT pods and pylons, and an all-weather targeting system. The contract, which runs for less than a year, calls for the delivery of 24 pods equipped with the new data link 'plug-and-play technology' and associated mounting pylons and spares beginning immediately and continuing through early 2006.

Northrop delivers two-in-one weapon sight

Northrop Grumman Corp. delivered to the US Army a first-of-its-kind, two-in-one weapon sight called the Fused Multispectral Weapon Sight (FMWS). The FMWS integrates thermal imaging and image-intensified systems in one sight.
