Novartis's CFO Raymond Breu describes the company's recent strategic decisions which he feels will increase its market potential in the United States. The strategic changes are the shift to dollar reporting of quarter results, increase of research expenditures, and adherence to corporate governance standards.

Corporates find credit derivatives. Offer more than just a safety net

Article Abstract:

A recent report by the British Bankers' Association reported that the global derivatives market is worth more than $1 trillion, and is expected to grow to about $4.8 trillion by the end of 2004. Even so, business seems either unaware or uninterested in this market.
