Obering defends missile defense, as new tests loom

Article Abstract:

The US Air Force Lt. Gen. Henry 'Trey' Obering, who is also the director of Missile Defense Agency (MDA), has offered a cautiously optimistic appraisal of MDA, and says that although the nation's missile defense system is in rudimentary stages of development, it is improving incrementally. While defending his agency he says that MDA has worked aggressively to overcome test failures and is moving toward more testing in months to come and have better chance of successfully intercepting an inbound warhead.
