Pepsi and Yahoo! launch joint promo

Pepsi-Cola and Yahoo! have unveiled an under-the-cap promotional program that gives consumers the chance to win merchandise and discounts when they buy specially-marked Pepsi 20-ounce and 1-liter packages. Prizes to be given include video games from EA; compact discs from Sam Goody; DVD titles from Columbia TriStar Home video; autographed movie memorabilia from Sony Pictures; and rebates from Yahoo! The promotion would involve more than 1.5 billion packages and nearly 80,000 retail outlets.

Dr Pepper & Kingsford run grilling promo

Dr Pepper has teamed up with Kingsford Products to offer consumers a coupon that can be redeemed for a free 2-liter bottle of any Dr Pepper product when they buy an 8-pound or larger bag of Kingsford charcoal. Consumers will also receive a free 8-ounce bottle of Hidden Valley Salad Dressing with a minimum $5 purchase of fresh chicken and one 16-ounce or larger bottle of KC Masterpiece Marinade. Promotional materials include pole toppers and shelf talkers.

Coca-Cola boosts sales with Flex-End System

Article Abstract:

Coca-Cola employs the Flex-End System display for its product lines in King Soopers supermarkets. The display, which is aimed at solving various high-volume merchandising problems, was developed for the softdrink company by College Point, NY-based Display Technologies. The Flex-End System has an endcap configuration that allows Coca-Cola to integrate a strategic mixure of noncarbonated and carbonated beverages.
