Technology advances in digital cameras

Article Abstract:

UK-based Fujifilm Digital Imaging has become the market leader in its niche with a 27% market share in terms of volume. It has done so by constantly developing advanced designs for the key capture elements in digital cameras: the lens, CCD and image processing mechanisms. For instance, it developed the world's smallest, all-glass aspherical lens for consumer digital cameras. The lens provided tremendous advantages in camera design and picture quality and subsequently enabled the firm to develop slimmer and more compact cameras.
