Postural implications of obtaining line-of-sight for seated operators of underground mining load-haul-dump vehicles

Article Abstract:

A study was undertaken about the postural behavior of operators of load-haul-dump vehicles used in underground mining through an examination of postural variables connected with three amounts of seat rotation meant to maximize line-of-sight during forward driving. It was observed that an increase in seat rotation brought about a proportionate increase in the view of critical visual attention locations and visible line-of-sight area while a decrease in postural load variables.

Analysis of 3D face forms for proper sizing and CAD of spectacle frames

Article Abstract:

An analysis of the three-dimensional (3D) morphological alterations in the human face is conducted with the help of digital samples of the same and the utility of this analysis is indicated in forming industrial products by upgrading the spectacle frames. In addition, four prototype frames and a traditional one are analyzed with the help of sensory evaluation and the actual measurement of pressure and slip in 38 adults.

Anthropometric criteria for the design of tractor cabs and protection frames

Article Abstract:

A study investigated farm-worker anthropometry and determined the critical anthropometric measures and 3-D feature envelopes of body landmarks for the design of tractor operator enclosures. This effort was made regarding improved human-tractor interface designs, such as well-accommodated operator enclosures can enhance operator productivity, comfort and safety.
